Promovierende der Abteilung, die bei ihrem Antrag auf Annahme an den Promotionsausschuss ein Kurzexposé einreichen, sollten sich bei der Erstellung an folgenden Kriterien orientieren:

• Der Umfang für den Fließtext beträgt max. 12.000 Zeichen (Richtwert, ohne Leerzeichen).
• Die Metastruktur sollte bestehen aus:
  • Deckblatt (Name, Hochschule, Betreuer*innen, (vorläufiger) Titel)
  • Hintergrund des Promotionsthemas
  • Grob umrissene Forschungsfrage(n) / Forschungslücke(n)
  • Grob umrissene Methodik (zur Einschätzung des passenden Doktorgrads durch den Promotionsausschuss)
  • Literaturverzeichnis
  • Ein grober Zeitplan, der sich auf die eigentliche Forschung bezieht (und nicht auf das Promotionsprogramm des PK NRW).

Doctoral candidates from the department who submit a brief exposé as part of their application for acceptance to the doctoral committee should orient themselves to the following criteria:

• The length of the main text should not exceed 12,000 characters (excluding spaces).

• The meta-structure should include:

  • Cover page (Name, University, Supervisors, (tentative) Title)

  • Background of the doctoral thesis topic

  • Roughly outlined research question(s) / research gap(s)

  • Roughly outlined methodology (for the assessment of the appropriate doctoral degree by the doctoral committee)

  • Bibliography

  • A rough timeline referring to the actual research (not the doctoral program of PK NRW).
